Built for Dunblane. By Dunblane.
A local platform created by a resident who got tired of asking Facebook for a plumber.
Our story
My Dunblane was built in May 2026 by a Dunblane resident who kept noticing the same thing — every time someone needed a local tradesperson, a recommendation for a café, or wanted to know what was on that weekend, they had to post in a Facebook group and hope for the best.
The replies would come in — sometimes helpful, sometimes contradictory, always buried under the next post within hours. There was no way to search, no way to compare, no way to find the same recommendation twice.
Dunblane and its surrounding area — from Bridge of Allan to Doune, Ashfield to Braco — is a community with a strong identity and a lot going on. It deserved better than a Facebook thread. So My Dunblane was built — a clean, mobile-first platform where residents can find trusted local businesses, discover what is on, save money with local offers, and stay connected with everything happening in the area.
No algorithms deciding what you see. No national advertisers drowning out the local ones. Just our community.
Our mission
Local first
Every business, offer and event on My Dunblane is local. We exist to support the independent businesses and community organisations that serve Dunblane and the surrounding area. From the town centre to the villages nearby, we are here for the businesses that make this part of Scotland a great place to live.
Always free to find
Finding a local business on My Dunblane will always be free for residents. No paywalls, no subscriptions, no sign up required to search.
Built to last
My Dunblane is built for the long term. As the town grows and changes, the platform will grow with it — adding new features, expanding to neighbouring areas, and always staying rooted in the community.
For local businesses
My Dunblane gives local businesses and tradespeople an affordable, always-on digital presence that works. Whether you are based in Dunblane itself or in one of the surrounding villages and towns — if you serve this community, there is a place for you here. Listing your business is free and takes less than five minutes.
